About Chuck Barnes

Chuck Barnes

I am an early “Gen-Xer” who retired from a full-time job in Law Enforcement in October 2020. I also retired from the National Guard in 2009.

The retirement journey has been eventful, to say the least.

I want to share how my experiences from before and now shaped me in retirement.

Introduction

I am married; I have three children and three grandchildren.

I served on active duty in the military and retired from the Arkansas National Guard as a part-timer. I also served as a police officer in the same police department until I retired.

I am a big advocate of smaller government and a god-fearing constitutionalist.

Background

I enjoy riding my motorcycle, a Kawasaki Vulcan Voyager, with friends or solo to see the sights and relax.

I enjoy playing Microsoft Flight Sim and viewing the world I would usually not see.

I also spend some of my free time learning to invest in the stock market and trading options as a private investor.

If you want to connect with me on social media, you can follow me on Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube. One of my YouTube channels has videos I made while I was an FAA-certified drone pilot. The other YouTube channel has some videos I shared playing in MSFS.

You can catch up by clicking on the links. I no longer post on these YouTube channels and rarely on Facebook or Instagram.

Anyway, my goal is to share with you what my retirement is like, some things that have happened since I retired, and some other things I do to keep myself busy.
