For me, riding isn’t just about the road—it’s about healing.
When I ride, it’s just me, my thoughts, and God. No distractions. No noise from a world that hasn’t always done right by people. After a lifetime of service—first in uniform, then behind a badge—I’ve seen enough to know that peace isn’t something handed to you. You have to go out and find it. And for me, I find it in the wind.
My Ride to Heal is about taking the freedom of the open road and turning it into something meaningful. It’s why I ride with the Patriot Guard Riders and participate in the Tour of Honor. It gives me a reason to get out of the house, to stand for something again, and to honor those who served and sacrificed. It gives me a sense of purpose in a world where I sometimes feel like we’ve been forgotten.
I ride because I’ve become stoic—I’ve learned not to trust easily. But I still believe in respect. In honor. In service. And I still believe that healing is possible—one mile at a time.
