How we found it

Lauren, my Wife, was on her way to an appointment on her day off when she reached the main intersection, and the TPS system showed 10 pounds of pressure. She immediately turned around, came home, and told me about it. She jumped in my truck and went to her appointment. I found the screw in the tread, which is a good thing in this scenario. A screw in the side wall would be a little bit different.

What I did

I jacked her car up and turned the wheel to the tread where the screw is. I aired the tire up to 35 psi, and I will check it in a couple of hours when Lauren gets home. For the next part of the plan, I didn’t pull the screw because I don’t want to plug it; the plug is in my truck, which is with her. 

Where it goes next

From here, we will take it directly to Firestone to repair or replace the tire, so she has it when she goes back to work Saturday morning. No need to play with a plugged tire that’s gonna be going down the freeway every morning and evening to work and back, Saturday through Monday.
